IBM THINKPAD 555MB
This Readme provides the following information:
1.1 Installing "IBM THINKPAD 555MB" Using Driver Disk
1.2 Support for TMC-850IBM SCSI Host Adapters
1.1 INSTALLING "IBM THINKPAD 555MB" USING DRIVER DISK

2. Insert this diskette into your diskette drive, and
select [Driver Disk].
3. In the "Load Device Drivers Diskette" window, enter
the letter that represents your drive (A: is the
default), and select [OK].
4. At the "Select Backup Device Drivers" window, select
the driver name and choose [OK].
5. To add the device to the backup device list, select

6. Configure the backup device using instructions in the
Sytos Plus User's Guide.
Ensure that the SCSI adapter driver is installed as
described in the following section.
1.2 SUPPORT FOR TMC-850IBM SCSI HOST ADAPTERS
Currently this release of Sytos Plus provides support for the
model TMC-850IBM SCSI host adapter. Future support
will follow. If your backup device requires a SCSI host
adapter, check that the following lines are in CONFIG.SYS:
DEVICE=[drive:]\[pathname]\DCAM950.EXE
DEVICE=[drive:]\[pathname]\ASPIFCAM.SYS
where [drive:\[pathname] is the directory where the
SCSI host adapter drivers exist.
If the lines for the SCSI driver do not exist in
CONFIG.SYS, you must add them. The following is an
example CONFIG.SYS entry for an 8-bit adapter driver
installed in the root directory:
DEVICE=C:\DCAM950.EXE / CA00 3
The DEVICE= line must include the memory address and
interrupt line number (IRQ) for each 8-bit SCSI
adapter installed.
a. Check your CONFIG.SYS file to ensure that the
DEVICE= line for DCAM950.EXE includes the memory
address and interrupt line number (IRQ) for each
8-bit adapter. If you installed more than one
adapter, the memory address and IRQ can be listed on
one line as shown below:
DEVICE=C:\DCAM950.EXE /xxxx i /xxxx i
where "/xxxx" is the memory address and "i" is the
IRQ number. Possible memory addresses include
/CA00, /C800, /CE00, and /DE00. Possible IRQ
numbers include 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 12, 14, and 15.
b. Reboot your system so that the changes to CONFIG.SYS
can take effect.
